  1. What should I do if I lose my ID card?
    You can immediately suspend your card by visiting the Online Account Management Page.

  2. What if I find my ID card after I have reported it lost or stolen?
    If you find your ID card after you have reported it lost/stolen, you will need to bring it into Campus Card Services during office hours to have the card reinstated. There is no charge for this service, and it only takes a few moments to have your card reactivated.

  3. How do I get a replacement card and how much does it cost?
    You must go to Campus Card Services at the IMU, located on the Mezzanine level next to the Delights snack shop, or to the ground level of Eigenmann Hall at 1910 East 10th Street, to get a replacement ID card. Bring a photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc.) with you for identity verification purposes. The replacement cost is $20, which can be paid by credit/debit card, cash, check, charged to your Bursar account, or withdrawn from your CampusAccess account. Once you have a replacement card made, any prior cards in your name are invalid.

  4. Who is eligible to obtain an ID card?
    Any student who is registered for current semester classes and can be verified by the Registrar's Office or through Continuing Studies is eligible to receive an ID card. Full-time appointed staff can obtain an ID card once employment is verified by OneStart. Hourly staff can receive an ID card by bringing a request from your department on departmental letterhead that is signed by the department head. Academic appointments must be authorized in OneStart before an ID card is processed. All persons must present some form of photo identification before a new ID card will by processed. There is no charge for your first card.

  5. What if my card expires or my name or classification status changes?
    Once you have changed your name with the appropriate office (students at the Registrar's Office; staff at Human Resources; academic appointments at Faculty Records), then you may have an ID card made with the new name. It is recommended that you bring the name change documentation from the appropriate office in the event that your name has not yet been changed in the system. There is a $5 charge for the new card if you turn in your old card. If you do not have your old card to turn in, there will be the full replacement charge of $20. If your classification status has changed (you were a student and now you are staff, etc.), then you must be verified by the appropriate office before the classification status can be changed. There is no charge for this change if you turn in your old card. There will by a $20 replacement charge if you do not bring in your old card.

  6. What if I am eligible for two different classifications? Can both status classifications appear on one card?
    Yes, you may obtain one card for two different status classifications (for example, you are a staff person but are also enrolled as a student). After you have been verified for both classifications, an ID card will be issued showing the appropriate status. You should not have two separate cards with different classifications. If you would like your card to reflect both status classifications, you must first turn in your other card and there will be no charge for the new card. If you don't have your original card, there will be a $20 charge for the replacement.

  7. What if I have a problem with my library barcode?
    Barcode problems need to be reported to the Research Collections Circulation Desk at the Main Library.

  8. Whom do I need to notify when I get a replacement ID?
    You will need to report your new library barcode to:
    • The Research Collections Circulation Desk at the Main Library and any of the Residential Programs and Services libraries if used.
    • The Recreational Sports Center will also need to be notified of your new card number if you use the SRSC or HPER facilities.

  9. I recently obtained a replacement ID and now my card won't work as my room key. What should I do?
    Anytime your card number changes, and if you live in Willkie, you must inform the building staff in order for your ID card to function as your room key. The same applies at Forest and Briscoe residence halls for the outside door access.

  10. What individual accounts are on my ID card?
    There are three main accounts on your CampusAccess Card: Your CampusAccess account, your Library Account, and your I-BUCKS plan.
    1. CampusAccess Account- Every CampusAccess Card has one! You activate it simply by depositing funds to your account.This account can be used for the following goods and services:
      • Residential Programs & Services (RPS) Food Locations
      • IMU Food Locations
      • Copy Machines
      • Laundry
      • Vending Machines
      • UITS Support Center
    2. Your Library account- Your CampusAccess Card is your IU Library Card and can be used at the following locations:
      • Main Library
      • Branch Libraries
      • Residential Programs & Services (RPS) Libraries

    3. Your I-BUCKS* account (RPS meal contract funds)- If you purchased I-BUCKS through RPS your I-BUCKS points can be accessed through your CampusAccess Card at the following locations:
      • All Residential Programs & Services (RPS) Locations

  11. What is the difference between my CampusAccess account and my I-BUCKS?
    Your CampusAccess account is a privilege that is put on all cards. The money in your CampusAccess account can be used for laundry, vending machines, IMU food locations, and Residential Programs & Services food locations. Student I-BUCKS points is a privilege that you only have when you have a Residential Programs & Services housing contract. I-BUCKS points can be used only at the Residential Programs & Services food locations.

  12. Where can I check my I-BUCKS balance?
    Cashiers may give current balances any time the card is used, or you may view your balance online.

  13. What if my I-BUCKS doesn't work?
    There are various reasons why your I-BUCKS meal privilege would not be reading properly at the food locations. Please call RPS at 856-1515 during office hours and someone will assist you in fixing the problem. Also you can e-mail Dining Services at hallsdin@indiana.edu.

  15. Where can I purchase a guest card?
    You can purchase a guest card at any of the Value Transfer Station (Value Transfer Station (VTS)) locations on campus. These cards can be used for any CampusAccess account purchase.

  16. What if I lose money in a Value Transfer Station (VTS)?
    Refund forms are available at Campus Card Services, the Copy Machines Office at the Main Library, and the Life Sciences Library at Jordan Hall. Fill out one of these forms and attach a copy of your receipt (if available) or email cacard@indiana.edu. Be sure to include your name, student ID number or social security number, and fill out Value Transfer Station (VTS) location, date, approximate time of transaction, and email address. Also, if money was lost on a guest card be sure to write down the number of the guest card in the appropriate space. This information must be provided in order to process your refund. Money will be deposited on your CampusAccess account when the refund form is processed.

  17. What if I don't have cash to deposit in a Value Transfer Station (VTS)?
    Campus Card Services, Copy Machines in the Main Library, and Copies & More in the IMU will accept checks of $10 or more for deposit into your CampusAccess account.

  18. What if I want to add funds to my departmental copy account?
    Additional departmental copy funds cannot be deposited at a Value Transfer Station (VTS). Contact the Copy Machines Office at 855-5621 if you would like to add more funds to your departmental copy account.

  19. Can money remaining on my CampusAccess account be refunded?
    You can receive a refund of your CampusAccess account if you are withdrawing or graduating from the University. However, there is a $10 processing fee for the refund. You may obtain a refund by filling a CampusAccess account refund form available at Campus Card Services. You may also send a written request. Be sure to include your student ID number and the address where you want the refund check mailed or e-mail cacard@indiana.edu. The refund will take approximately two weeks to process so make sure that the included address is where you will be at that time.

  20. Where can I get my bus pass?
    There are no more bus passes, students may now ride both the IU buses and the Bloomington Transit buses by showing their IU ID card.

  21. Does Campus Card Services require my Social Security Number?
    No, but we do require your 10-digit university ID number. Students can locate their id number by going to Onestart and choosing the “self-service” tab. Faculty and Staff will find the number on their pay stubs.
